Welcome to Weekly Song Reflections, a new weekly resource from Abiding Way Ministries based on the Revised Common Lectionary. Each Monday you will find posted here four songs for your own personal or small group worship and reflection, each paired with one of the readings from the Revised Common Lectionary for that week. The embedded song will then be followed by a reflection question, providing an opportunity to think more about the passage and theme reflected in the song.
This resource is a combination of two resources we had previously offered: a daily song devotional, and weekly Lectionary reflection questions. After feedback and prayerful reflection, we hope this new resource continues to provide moments of contemplation and growth as you meet with God in his Word and through thoughtful music and lyrics.
Much like weekly worship services, you will find some songs will be repeated from time to time. Our focus is finding the best pairing of song with Scripture, and in some cases there are songs that are worth revisiting.
