Abiding Way Ministries is a non-denominational ministry based in Grand Rapids, MI, founded by Sharon Garlough Brown and her husband, Jack. Sharon is an author, speaker, and spiritual director who has written six novels for InterVarsity Press, including the bestselling “Sensible Shoes” series. Jack has been a pastor for 25+ years, and also teaches at a local Christian college in Grand Rapids. Together they have served churches in Scotland, England, New Jersey, Oklahoma, and Michigan. They began Abiding Way Ministries in 2018 to provide spiritual formation retreats and resources for followers of Jesus Christ, centered around this mission statement:
“We are passionate about spiritual growth that is rooted in Scripture and grounded in the practices of believers throughout history.”
Our ministry team consists of pastors, authors, seminary professors, spiritual directors, and others who are devoted to helping followers of Jesus live into their identity as “God’s beloved.” Watch this space for more information about our team, the beliefs that ground us, and the passions that unite us.
